Then why not join the Shire Horse Society’s Young Judges Scheme? This training scheme is run annually and is designed to encourage younger members in particular to improve their knowledge of the Shire horse, in preparation for joining the judging panel when they reach the age of 25.
The training is also open to adult members, but only those between the ages of 14 and 24 may enter the competition which will take place on 16 October 2021 at South View Equestrian Centre in Cheshire.
This is a great initiative to help ensure our shows can continue in the coming years with the availability of knowledgeable and experienced judges from around the country. After all, without judges there can be no competitions!
