With restrictions being lifted, we were delighted that our Heavy Horse Show was able to go ahead on Sunday 8 August at Beechwood Equestrian Centre.   The weather was typical for a British summertime and everyone had to come equipped for all eventualities, but we believe a fantastic day was had by all.  All the horses looked beautiful, whether they were being driven, paraded in-hand, in harness, or under saddle.  So much hard work goes into the preparation of horse, harness and vehicle for these events, it was great to have them back in the arena after a year that was so devoid of such spectacles.

We'll be adding some photographs to our gallery over the coming days, so check back to see you if can spot anyone you know.

We'd like to thank Beechwood EC for allowing us to hold the show on their site and we look forward to the possibility of working together again in the future.

If you were at our show and you think you would be interested in trying your hand at judging, the Shire Horse Society is inviting younger participants to join the Young Judges Scheme.  Check out our blog which offers you links to the information from the Shire Horse Society.
